Report Spam

If you get spam email that you think is deceptive, forward it to: spam@uce.gov Save this email and forward deceptive spam when it appears in your Inbox. The FTC uses the spam stored in this database to pursue law enforcement actions against people who send deceptive email.

SPAM is unsolicited, frustrating, time-consuming, and is many times an outright criminal attempt to defraud the receiver. Spammers are low-life criminals on the run, and more is being done every day to hunt them down. Spam is sometimes difficult to trace, but every movement on the Web leaves an electronic signature. The criminal spammer that is getting away with assaulting email user’s today will very likely be tracked down by government spammer hunters tomorrow.

The Federal Trade Commission’s website is the government authority site for email SPAM issues including: consumer and business spam issues, CAN-SPAM legislation, spam resources, email spam reports, a news/press room and more.
